This is the first annual transit derby. A day long event to test transit technologies using small scale vehicles. Teams get scheduled track time to demonstrate their transit system and compete for capability specific prizes (speed, throughput...). Here are the competitions with the biggest prize.
- Fastest Autonomous Speed: for the vehicle that travels the fastest between 2 complete autonomous laps
- Highest Autonomous Throughput: for the 3 vehicle transit system that moves all cars past a point in the least time.
- Minimum Autonomous Loading Time: for the vehicle that performs the loading maneuver in the least time.
Help create better ways to get around.
Create a Team
Whether you're a hobbyist, student, or professional: remote or local: technical or not: driver, biker or train rider - you can participate. Check out how you can build a vehicle, start a team, find teammates and get sponsored. You do not need to attend the physical event to compete in some of the competitions.
You can sponsor university teams experiment on new transit ideas for human transit. Teams need several small scale autonomous cars ($500) and time on GPU servers ($500) to train their autopilots.
